Jacksonville high speed chase
Jacksonville police say they tried to stop a 2001 Honda Civic for speeding Monday morning. But they say the driver sped up, ran red lights and weaved in and out of traffic to evade them. The car’s speed reached 120 miles an hour before going down the hill on Quintard Avenue at 22nd Street; the driver lost control of the car, which overturned several times. Police say at that point, 21-year-old Lydia Rachel Berkey got out of the car. After being booked, the Calhoun County Mental Health Officer was notified and Berkey was transported to Annniston Regional Medical Center.
