Another public official hit

It’s getting dangerous to be a public official in Marshall County; in a one-week period, two of them have been hit by cars. The latest incident occurred Wednesday morning when Steve Hallman, the director of Arab’s Street Department, was hit by a VW Beetle as he inspected a damaged culvert on Sundown Drive. Hallman suffered a broken leg and facial cuts but was in good condition at Huntsville Hospital. The driver of the car was not hurt. One week earlier, former Albertville City Councilman and State Trooper Chuck Ellis was hit by a car while jogging in downtown Albertville. Ellis also sustained a broken leg and other injuries but has been released from the hospital.
