  • Race to Remember Kickoff Party

Where: Bakers On Main, Albertville

  • Imagination Place Children’s Museum

  • Storm Spotter Class

When: Thursday, Feb. 5th; 6 p.m.
Where: Guntersville City Town Hall
Sponsored by the Marshall County Emergency Management Agency in conjunction with the Huntsville office of the National Weather Service, and the class will be presented by a National Weather Service Warning and Coordination Meteorologist. The class is free and open to the public. No registration is required and additional information may be obtained by calling 256-571-7329.

  • “Right Time-Right Now: It Starts with Us” Seminar

When: Feb. 20th, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Bevill Center at Gadsden State Community College

Where: Lake Guntersville State Park
features live bird demonstrations, programs provided by notable speakers and guided field trips for viewing eagles in their natural habitat. Cost for some activities.

  • Warrior Dash 

When: Saturday, March 7th, 2015; 9 a.m.
Where: Macedonia Elementary School

  • FLW Series Bass Tournament

When: March 19th- 21st
Where: Lake Guntersville State Park
It’s a qualifying event for the FLW Series Championship. Daily weigh-ins each afternoon will be at the park, with the final weigh-in on the 21st to be held at the Guntersville Walmart. 300 anglers fish, with the top 20 fishing on the final day. For more information, see

  • Bassmaster Elite Series

When: April 9th – 12th
Where: Guntersville
Featuring 100 pro anglers. It will launch each morning from the City Harbor and weigh-in each afternoon at the Harbor. An expo and live entertainment will also be added on the weekend.

Where: Civitan Park, Guntersville
Featuring 100 college anglers. Universities from all over the southeast are represented, including the University of Alabama, Auburn University, University of North Alabama and more.

  • Miss Southern Belle Pageant

  • 8th Annual Spring 2 Summer Wakeboarding Tournment

  • Dixie Pre Majors World Series

When: July 24th – 29th
Where: Guntersville Rec Field Complex & Guntersville High School field
Teams from 11 states including a host team from Guntersville will compete in this top level youth baseball tournament.

  • King Kat Tournament

When: Sept. 19th
Where: Bucky Howe Park
The largest and oldest competitive catfishing organization in America will bring a one-day catfish tournament. It is a qualifying tournament with all teams qualifying for the 2015 Eastern Championship. The tournament travels to 20 states a year. Free for all youth through age 12.

  • Model A Tour

When: Oct. 14th – 17th
Where:  Marshall County
The “Sweet Home Alabama Tour” by the Central Alabama Model A Ford Club will visit Marshall County Oct. 14-17. The group will bring 80-100 attendees, touring Marshall County in their Model A Ford cars (only made 1927-1931). Planned stops include the Guntersville Dam, Cathedral Caverns, Lake Guntersville State Park, Arab Historical Village, etc. Contact Richard Haldeman for more info: 256-894-5493.
