Murder sentence

A second person convicted in the murder of a 71-year-old Blount County man was sentenced Tuesday. A circuit judge sentenced 36-year-old Toni Michelle Collins of Blount County, who had pleaded guilty, to life in prison with the possibility of parole. Marvin Allen Dailey was found dead on Thanksgiving Day, 2009, having been bludgeoned with a hatchet or other sharp object and burned alive in his home just off Blount County 29, about six miles north of Oneonta. Collins was arrested along with 34-year-old Thomas Doyle Crowe of Marshall County, who was convicted of capital murder last September and will be sentenced on February 5th.
