Three Etowah County arrests

The Etowah County sheriff’s office has arrested a Gadsden man for allegedly stealing scrap metal, including five antique sewing machines and a bucket of copper, from a residence on U.S. 278 West in Attalla. 19-year-old Daniel Issac Hodges is charged with first degree property theft and third degree burglary.

In a separate case, deputies arrested two Altoona residents for allegedly stealing a credit card from a residence in DeKalb County and using it several times at stores in Etowah County. 49-year-old Billy Dale McCright 29-year-old and Meranda Michelle Hilley face four counts of fraudulent use of a credit or debit card.
