Jury to Start Cold Case Murder Deliberations Friday

After closing arguments today the jury will start deliberating in the trial of Wesley Burgess, accused of murdering Claysville businessman Rick Moody four years ago in a case that had gone cold till recently. The jury heard this week from witnesses who described what they saw in 2009 when Moody was found in his business called Motors and Cash with his throat cut and stabbed 30 times. Moody’s family went outside while video of the murder scene was shown. DNA evidence linking Burgess to the murder was introduced. He faces life if found guilty.
