Kids Invited to Sign Up for Emergency Preparedness Camp

The organization called Serve Alabama is accepting signups from 6th graders to be part of the annual Be Ready Camp, which teaches them to become Preparedness Delegates taking the message of emergency preparation back to their homes and schools. It’s a 5-day full immersion live-away camp at the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville. Kids will participate in mock disasters and learn from Homeland Security. The camp is in March but submissions are due by the end of the year and acceptance letters go out in January. Email bereadycamp@servealabama.gov.
