Teen Hurt in Car Theft

A Gadsden teen is recovering from injuries he received trying to stop a man from stealing his mother’s BMW at a gas station. The 18 year-old boy had walked away from the car at a gas pump to help a woman having car trouble and a heavy-set man in a crime of opportunity got into the BMW and started driving away. The teen ran to the car and grabbed at the driver through the window and was dragged by the moving car. He eventually fell away and suffered road rash injuries. He was treated at an emergency room and the car is still missing.
