Fewer Troopers At Big Events

State budget-cuts mean fewer troopers at some events. State officials say you’ll see fewer Alabama troopers than in past years at major events such as Mardi Gras, Talladega and FootWash. Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Secretary Spencer Collier said the troopers will continue to help provide security at major events, but just not as many officers as their used to be.
