Gadsden Changing Pet Holding Time

Animal control. The Gadsden City Council decided that dogs or cats captured and brought to the city shelter — will no longer be held seven days before being put up for adoption. From now on, the owner will have five days to get the pet — before it’s placed in a new home. And, the Humane Societ will begin working on the stray or ferrell cat problem — by trapping them — doing a spay or neuter — then turning them loose. The idea, to control the population of wild cats.
