More money for courts. Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore and other court officials called a press conference to pressure Gov. Bentley for another $12 million this year for the state’s courts. Alabama’s courts got $113 million in the budget — about the same as last year. The legislature designated another $12 million for the courts if the state brings in more money than expected…and Judge Moore said the governor should release the extra money. He said it’s badly need to give court employees a raise.
