State’s Top Lawman On Medical Leave

Gov. Bentley puts the head of Alabama’s state law enforcement agency on medical leave. Secretary Spencer Collier could be on leave for three months. The move will allow Collier plenty of time recover from upcoming back surgery. Collier is a former state trooper, and the Governor appointed him as the first secretary of the combined Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. While Collier’s out, Stan Stabler will serve as acting director. Stabler is currently the chief of the dignitary protection unit.
