More Zika Virus In Alabama

Two more people in Alabama have the Zika virus, so that makes a total of three cases. The Alabama Department of Public Health says the latest victims live in Jefferson and Shelby counties and picked-up the disease while traveling overseas where a particular type of mosquito spreads it. The virus is generally no big deal unless a pregnant woman gets it because it can cause a devastating birth dfect. And, a person who has it, can spread the virus by sexual contact.
