City Of Gadsden Says “Cut Your Grass”

City of Gadsden reminds you: you can be fined if you don’t cut your grass. Especially in areas around sidewalks and streets that fall on your property. If it’s over a foot tall — you may get a visit or notice by mail — telling you to cut it. If you don’t, then you’re assessed a fee. The tall grass can be fire hazard and attracts bugs — not to mention, the city says — it’s ugly. If your neighbor’s not cutting those areas required by the city — you can contact the Nuisance Abatement Inspector.
