10/11/08 Sand Rock Day  .... The Town of Sand Rock is Celebrating 20 yrs of being an Incorporated Township. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a fun filled evening of country and bluegrass music in the park. Special singers will be Sand Rock's FFA String Band and The Bailey's, Leah Seawright and The Southern Nites. The Sand Rock Fire Department will serve hot dogs and hmburgers. Huge kids area with blow up slides and antique car and tractor show. 

10/11/08 Hot Rod Round Up  .... The Dekalb County Mounted Unit will host a Hot Rod Round Up on Saturday October 11th from 8 am till 12 noon At the Dekalb County Sheriff's Department. Fee is $20 .

10/18/08 Fall Festival .... A Fall Festival sponsored by Ferguson Enterprises of Fort Payne and The Moose Lodge of Fort Payne , A Relay for Life Fundraiser. Going to have good food, games, prizes, hay rides, horseshoe and washboard tournament. On Saturday Oct. 18th from 11 till when ever at 2612 Co Rd 51 Fort Payne. All Proceeds go to Relay for Life.

10/18/08 Community Fun Day  .... The Summit Volunteer Fire and Rescue is having a Community Fun Day , October 18th from 11am till 5 pm at the Summit Fire Department. There will be helicopters, Ambulances, fire trucks, moon walks for the kids , slides and more. Concessions will be served and Summit Fire Dept. is Between Arab and Blountsville. 

10/25/08 Fishing Tournament  .... The 1st Annual Guntersville Track team Fishing Tournament is October 25th at Brown's Creek Boat Launch ( Beside the Ball fields) 1st place is $500... Big Fish Payout every hour. Entry Fee is $60 . For more info call 256-293-9734.
